Blue meanie mushroom
Strain Origin
Looking for Blue meanie mushroom (P. Natalensis) Spore Syringes? You’ve come to the right place!
The exact origin of the specimen known as the “Blue Meanie” is not very well documented or defined. After years of collecting specimens from around the globe in search of the legendary Blue Meanies, we think we have found the winner in this South African variety known locally as the Natal Super Strain (or Natal Super Strength).
This strain exhibits all the characteristics of the legendary Blue meanie mushroom, including vibrant blue coloring on the cap and stem, extremely vigorous mycelial growth, and much higher potency when compared with P. cubensis varieties. It is not to be confused with the many other mushrooms nicknamed “Blue Meanies” such as Psilocybe Azurescens or Panaeolus Cyanescens.
Blue meanie mushrooms
Known scientifically as the Psilocybe natalensis, it has some Psilocybe cubensis characteristics, however, genetic testing has confirmed that it is in fact a unique species. It has been described as a sort of hybrid between P. cubensis and Pan Cyan in regard to both its growth habits and psychoactive effects.
It exhibits mycelial growth much like an aggressive, fast-colonizing Panaeolus Cyanescens, but can be cultivated via grain spawn much like Psilocybe cubensis, giving you the best of both worlds. In comparison to the closely related P. cubensis, it is very vigorous and highly resistant to disease and contamination. Many anecdotes have reported their potency as being 2-3x that of cubensis.
